Karen McLeod Cox announces  a book entitled Memories of the Prairie a McLeod Family Memoir written by Janet McLeod about her life from 1901-1920 as a child and young school teacher in the Bredenbury, Saskatchewan area. She died in 1982, and we her daughters had them professionally published and have made them available at a not for profit price on Amazon. She was born in a sod house, the daughter of Elizabeth Webster and James John “Jack” Ross, and who both emigrated from Scotland, met and married in Saskatchewan. She married Malcolm McLeod, (MacLeod) the son of Mary and Allan MacLeod Scottish emigrants who lived in the same area.
